We've been pretty vocal in the past...and present...about how much we love hydration. It's why we're so in love with our 5x HA complex to begin with! Well, if you loved that you're gonna FLIP for the serum pad ingredient lineup. There are some power players, and today we’re diving into one of our new all-stars.

Introducing (drumroll please!) The TRIPLE CICA-COMPLEX! 

That's right, we did it again! We couldn’t settle for just one when each of these extracts was just...so good! We've combined three of our favorite extracts from Centella Asiatica to create one powerhouse complex to help aid in healing and soothing skin inflammation and irritation.

So what does this do for your skin? Why is this SO EXCITING. Ooh mama, let me get into this with you!

THE BEGINNING: CENTELLA ASIATICA

Remember Centella Asiatica? We looked at her a little earlier on but, just in case you missed that particular ingredient breakdown, Centella Asiatica is a perennial herb and an incredible ingredient first used medicinally and now seen commonly in skincare. It can help aid in healing, reduction of inflammation, and provide a powerful boost in hydration and collagen production for firmer, more elastic, plumped up, and glowing skin. There's a lot that makes Centella Asiatica a wonderful ingredient for skincare, but some of the biggest proponents are the many bioactive triterpenic acids it contains.

Triterpenic acids are a large group of natural compounds that are known to have a wide range of positive effects on the human body and, most importantly for our purposes, the skin. Specifically being beneficial in areas like wound healing, collagen production, and antioxidation. These extracts are EXACTLY what we're looking at in our new CICA-Complex. We've pulled three fantastic triterpenic acids together to create something your skin is going to love, and you may have even heard of a couple of them floating around the K-beauty space recently!

THE CICA COMPLEX BREAK DOWN

Our Triple CICA-Complex is made up of Asiatic Acid, Asiaticoside, and Madecassic Acid. Each one brings something special to the mix, however, all three serve as anti-inflammatories that are great for calming down irritation and providing an overall soothing effect to the skin. This also makes it fabulous for those of us with more sensitive skin who are looking for that skin-plumping hydration without risk of a reaction or added irritation!

So, aside from anti-inflammatory properties, let's break this trio's specialties down as simply as possible:
